Description and setting
Welcome to “IL RIFUGIO DEL RISOL”
It is located in Dorga, a hamlet of Castione della Presolana (BG) not far from Milan (97 km) and Bergamo (45 km), considered an ideal destination for families and children.
The Refuge built in a modern style surrounded by the Orobic Prealps and is located a stone’s throw from the center but at the same time immersed in the silence of nature.
There are many different experiences you can have during your stay: stroll through the streets of the center to admire the many ancient villas, evidence of the presence of famous architects in charge of building the holiday homes for politicians and senators in the 1800s.
Traces of the imposing work of the Fantoni workshop: inside the parish church of Sant’Alessandro Martire we can observe the high altar, rich in sculptures and marble inlays, and admire the grandiose apparatus for organ and choir by Grazioso Fantoni.
The landscape is enchanting and the surroundings of art and history are enchanting, such as that lived in the ancient historical centers such as Gromo, Gandino, Nembro, Alzano Lombardo, Clusone and its square, a UNESCO heritage site, between art and monuments, and the one guarded by from the churches.
In summer it is possible to go on beautiful hikes with routes both suitable for experts and suitable for everyone and to practice climbing.
In winter you can ski thanks to the nearby ski resorts of Monte Pora (8 km) and Donico (4 km).
At Monte Pora there are slopes suitable for families while the gentle slopes of the Presolana pass lifts are perfectly suitable for children.
There are several paths practicable both with snowshoes and ski mountaineering.
Another Colere area (13 km) for professional skiers and snowboarders who love to ski on the FIS approved slopes for international downhill and super giant competitions.
It is inevitable to raise your eyes and admire the wonderful queen of the Orobie: La Presolana.
La Presolana with its 2521 meters high, an imposing limestone block, a real jewel between the Val Seriana and the Val di Scalve.
The main peaks form a chain which, going from west to east, includes Presolana di Castione (2.474m), Presolana Occidentale (the highest, 2.521m), Presolana del Prato (2.447m), Presolana Centrale (2.517 m), the Presolana Orientale (2.490m).
While among the secondary peaks we find Monte Visolo (2,369m) and Corna delle Quatto Matte (2,122m). The 5 rooms, named after the main peaks, are equipped with flat-screen TV, desks, minibars, and balconies. The suite “La Regina delle Orobie” offers a balcony directly overlooking the beautiful homonymous, a relaxation corner with a Jacuzzi, kitchen, sitting room.
The two apartments “Monte Visolo” and “Quattro Matte” are equipped with all comforts.
Parking is included in the price.
The property has a beautiful garden with the possibility of taking a relaxing bath in the outdoor Jacuzzi. Pets are welcome.
